Passion for People accoladed as TOP 100 Innovator
This year Passion for People has been rated as one of the leading innovators in the German medium-sized enterprise sector.
The Stuttgart-based company was honoured with the TOP 100 Seal, now in its 24th year, by Ranga Yogeshwar, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and compamedia. Passion for People put forward a persuasive case during the independent selection process, particularly in the “Innovation-Promoting Top Management” category.
A total of 262 companies in three size categories can consider themselves fortunate – they have scientifically documented that they are among the most innovative companies in the medium-sized enterprise sector. They are therefore entitled to sport the TOP 100 Seal, awarded for the 24th time.
The innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team sifted through the many applications on behalf of compamedia.
“I have been the Chief Scientific Officer of the TOP 100 for 14 years and every year I am excited by the calibre of the innovations that we get to see”, says Franke, who is also a guest researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He regards these companies as well equipped to face the future: “TOP 100 is a great example of how companies gain competitive advantage through innovation – not just now but also with a view to their future market positioning.”
Figures validate the special position that top innovators find themselves in – this year their number included 101 domestic market leaders and 26 global market leaders. In the previous five years their sales growth was 20 percentage points higher than the growth rates in their respective industries. Recently they generated 38 percent of their sales through market innovations and innovative enhancements.
